It certainly does seem to be a shame, one a disgrace, that we have to import vegetables from Napier and Auckland. Surely what can be grown both north and south of us can be grown here. It certainly seems aa if there was a vast amount of innolence prevalent amongst us. Mr William Cooper, of the Waerenga-a-hika Hotel, has vastly improved hie sale yards, which are now admirably adapted for the sale of stock. Messrs Graham Pitt and Bennett have leased the yards for the purpose of hoiking their regular cattle sales.
