There is nothing doing in the freight market. SYDNEY, Oct. 13. New Zealand wheat, declined Id per bushel, and quoted to-day at 5s 3d ; New Zealand oats further advanced 3d per bushel during the week, and are now worth 3s 9d ; maize, per bushel, 5s 7d ; Sugar Company’s No. 1, prices per ton, £35. MELBOURNE, Oct. 13. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, of Melbourne ’ announces that their opening sale of the season will be held on the 19th inst. Great importance is attached to the event owing to the expected atttendance of a large number of foreign buyers being greatly in excess of any previous year. The clip generally in Victoria and New South Wales is reported to be smaller than last year. Active competition is expected in the case of sound well-grown wools. It is anticipated that the total exports for the year will show a decrease of 50,000 bales. Queensland, will on the contrary, show a considerable increase compared with last year.
