ARRIVALS. OCTOBER. 13th—Gitborne, schooner, Capt, J. H. Skinner, from Auckland, Mercury Bay, and the Coast, with a miscellaneous cargo, and several passengers from Tologa Bay—Mrs Murphy and family, and 4 Natives. 13th.—Wairarapa, s.g., Captain Chatfield, from Auckland. Passengers—Messrs John Dood, J. McDonald, Bailey, J. D. Watt, Shiras, Webster, J. McG. Fraser, Cook, P. Searles, Stewart (2), Master Webb, Mr and Mr* Murphy.

DEP A R TURES. OCTOBER. 13th—Wairarapa, for Southern Ports. Passengers— Mr* Walter and daughter, Messrs Goudy, P. Barrie, M. H. Smith, H. Tarr, Rev. J. Hill. Captain Mincham, of the schooner Telegraph, is rapidly getting out his cargo of coal, and experts to sail for Taiaroa to-morrow.. The schooner Gisborne arrived here this morning from Auckland, Mercury Bay, and the Coast. She left the former port last Tuesday week, with cement, •to., for Mr D. Gough, took in timber at Mercury Bay, and then traded along the Coast. The “ Lagoon,” which is a vessel recently purchased by Mr R. Gibbons, o: Gisborne, has arrived in port, and was brought up to her anchorage in the river this afterncfon. She is intended as a cargo boat fort he purpose of tendering steamers, and no doubt the enterprising proprietor wiil find that his purchase will turn out to be a lucrative one. . The Union Company's Wairarapa, Capt. Chatfield, arrived in harbor to-day, from Auckland, about 12 o'clock. She brings a number of passengers for Gisborne and several through passengers. She will leave for the South about 5 o'clock this afternoon. IMPORTS. Per schooner Gisborne, from Auckland- 9 cases iron, Common and Co.; 4,500 tiles, W. Ratcliffe; 4 tons flour, W. Adair; 6000 feet timber, 2090 feet rcmo timber, Large and Townley; 6 cases sundries, Bloomfield ; 8000 slates, 10 casks cement, order; 10 sacks fungus, Johnston 3 10 pkgs sugar, Murphv; 20 pkgs sundries, order.
