The schooner Telegraph arrived last evening. She left the Bay of Islands on the 4th, and notwithstanding three days detention at the East Cape, anchored in the Bay as above stated. During the trip adverse winds were experienced, and the strong south-easter, which was felt here, necessitated the delay of her arrival.
The s.s. Noko is having repairs made to her boilers* and.a fresh water cistern, by Mr J. Brown, of Peel’ street.
The s.s. Rosina is on the hard, and is being fitted with a new propeller made at Mr J. Brown's engineering establishment, Peel-street. The s.s. Oreti will leave Auckland to-morrow afternoon, for Gisborne.
Mr R. G. Gibbons’s new cattle barge left Auckland on Friday last, and may be hourly expected. She will be used in connection with the Oreti or other vessels.
