GISBORNE CHESS CLUB.

There was a very good attendance at the weekly meeting of the Chess Club last evening, and no less than twelve tournament games Were played. There are fourteen members of the Chess Club who have entered into the tournament and each member has to play three games with every other member. The winner of the most games on the 31st December next will receive the Ist prize, the winner of the next number of games will receive the 2nd, and the next winner of the most games will receive the 3rd prize. There is much interest taken in the games, and members should roll up on Club nights to watch the play.
