[ftSVTKB'S TEI.KGr.AM9], Received October 10, 4.15 p.m. CONSTANTINOPLE, Oct. 9. It appears that the Porte considers Lord Dufferin’s reply to its note asking what steps the British Government propose to take for the withdrawal of the troops as too vague, and that further information be asked for.

It has transpired that the Porte in a recent communication to Lord Dufferin, remarking upon the vagueness of his assurance that the British troops would be withdrawn from Egypt as soon as the pacification of that country was accomplished, further informed the Bristish Ambassador that it required that the evacuation of the Principality by the English army should bo completed within three months.

ALEXANDRIA, Oct. 9. Intelligence is to hand from Cairo that an English counsel has been denied aeutss to Arald by the Egyptian authorities. Sir E. Mulct, the British Consul-General will, therefore, communicate with the Egyptian Government with a view to obtain permission for the counsel to visit Arabi.
