Speaking at Northampton, Mr Bradiaugh assured a meeting «»f his constituents that the prosecution of him in connection with the “ Freethinker " was merely an attempt on the part of counsel to mr.ke him technically liable for something which never occurred. He emphatically denied any connection with the “ Freethinker,” either as a writer, an editor, ol* a publisher. The meeting passed a vote of confidence and Mr Bradlaugh withdrew. The life of a journalist is full of unexpected novelties, but they generally turn up in the shape of typographical errors after the cetera taiiLiuu huu bev*i -minted cff.
