Passengers—Miss Trimmer, Messrs Montmollin, Kennedy, Cooper, Walker, Whitaker, Fraser, Weaver, Cameron, and 4 in the steerage. The Union Company’s new steamer Wairarapa is expected to arrive here next Sunday from the South. The s.s. Oreti is expected to arrive from Auckland early to-morrow morning, and will leave with cattle directly after her arrival at Napier for Auckland, with a number of cattle. The Forest Queen sailed this morning out of the Bay at 8 o’clock. She has gone south. It is expected that the steam launch for Gisborne for the purpose.' of carrying passengers, with a light draught, from the Union Company’s steamers will arrive by the next trip of the U.S.S. Co.’s Omapera. It is the intention of the Company to put on an extra boat during the next Melbourne Exhibition. The Company intend to start the s.s. Rotorua fortnightly, and it is quite possible the s.s. Albion may be put on the service to run twice a week. The Union Company’s new steamship Hauroto will leave the Clyde duri g the pre-ent month and will be duly welcomed by the shipping community. The Tarawera, another new steamer belonging to the Company, will sail from the Civile for New Zealand in December next, and there will be two other stiamers sailing from the same place for tne Union Company in March next.
