The Union Company’s Arawata arrived in the Bay at 4 p.m. yesterday, from Auckland, and sailed for Southern Ports at 6.30 p.m. The schooner Forest Queen. Captain McDonald, arrived in the Bay last evening about 7 o’clock, from Oainaru. She has on board 50 tons of flour and 100 sacks of bran, consigned to Messrs Common, Shelton, and Co. of this town. She was lightered by the s.s. Rosina this morning when the latter brought ashore alx>ut 20 tons of cargo. The schooner may lie expected to come into the river and lay alongside the wharf so soon as a favorable opportunity occurs. To-dav there is a heavy sea running, but, in all probability, it will calm down before the morning. The U.S.S. Co.’s Arawata arrived at the Spit this morning, from Gisborne, at 6 o clock.
The U.S.S. Co.’s Ringarooma is appointed to sail from Napier for Gisborne at 6 o’clock to-night.
The s.s. Oreti is notified on the Telegraph board as having left Auckland for Gisborne at 9 o’clock last night. The U.S.S. Co.’s Ringarooma left Wellington at 8 o’clock for Napier. She may be expected early to-morrow morning t/i rowfe for Auckland.
The U.S.S. Co.’s Omapere is expected to leave Wellington this afternoon for N tpier, anl she will probably arrive here on Tuesday next, the 26th instant.
