wounding, and sentenced to two years’ imprisonment in Melbourne Gaol. MELBOURNE, This Day. The Government has called upon Dr Barker to resign his appointment on the \ ictorian Medical Board. Dr Barker has given a categorial denial to the statements that he attempted to procure an abortion in the ease of the late Mrs Stent, and demands a full enquiry into the charge.
