The Kaikoura ketch Emerald, from Foxton, laden with timber for Kaikoura and Lyttelton, arrived here yesterday, and at low water, "while being berthed, she bumped on a rocky ledge abreast of the jetty, and immediately filled with water. There was a heavy roll at the time. The vessel is buoyed by her capro. The wharf contract, which has just been let, provides tJr the removal of this ledge.
