SEPTEMBER. 15th—Manapouri, s.s., Captain Logan, for southern ports. Passengers--Captain Porter, Messrs Brown, Allan McLean, Knight, Hutchinson, Honor, Day, Gould, F. Skeet, and E. Chrisp. The s.B. Co.'s Rotorua has been detained in Wellington until to-morrow owing to the heavy rains; she will, therefore, not leave this port for the north until Monday, the last boat leaving the wharf at 8 a. m. pie schooner Waiwera was towed out of the river this morning by the s.s. Noko. She is now anchored in the Bay, and will proceed to Auckland by the first favorable wind. The s.s. Oreti is expected to arrive from Napier tomorrow at daylight. The schooner Minnie Hare is still at the wharf dis-chas-ging posts, and as soon as she lands her cargo she will sail for the East Coast. The ketch Wild Duck has discharged all her cargo, and will proceed north as soon as possible. The s.s. Rosina is alongside the wharf discharging cargo ex s.s. Oreti. The Union Company’s Manapouri, Captain Logan, left Auckland at p.m. yesterday, arriving in the Bay at 12.30 p.m. to-aay, thus making the passage in 234 hours. She will leave for the South to-night. The last boat leaves the wharf at 5 p.m. The Sydney “ Evening News ” of September *2 says: The steamer Sophia, which came into collision with the steamer Manapouri in the Yarra, on Tuesday, had her stern seriously damaged. She was removed to Duke’s dry dock, Yarra Bank, in a sinking condition, and on being pumped out, it was found that quite a wreck had been made by the Manapouri’s propeller of the after end of the keel, the stem post, and the rudder bands. The dead wood had been split, and fize or six planks at each side of the stern post were broken. The full extent of the damage, however, cannot be ascertained until the copper has been stripped off and the woodwork exposed. ; IMPORTS. Per Manapouri, from Auckland—l case, A. Graham and Co.; 1 pci, Mrs Friar; 1 case, Knight; 1 coil wire, Bourke ; 3000 feet timber, Tatley ; 3,500 feet timber, McConnachie and Flatt. EXPORTS.
