SHIPPING.
The schooner Minnie Hare, Capt. Nicholas, arrived at the anchorage this morning, from Waitotara, with a load of posts, and is expected to enter the river this evening,
The ketch Wild Duck rafted her deck load of timber and will be brought into the river this afternoon. The schooner Waiwera, Capt. Eushel, havin'? compitted repairs, and t?.ken in her ballast, will sail for Auckland this afternoon. The ketch Forest Queen is now loadin’ at Oamaru for this port, and will probably leave there to-morrow morning. The s-s. Oreti left Tauranga at 3.C0 p.m. yesterday. She has the Australian Circus on board. After discharging her cargo she will leave for Napier and rehere on Friday morning, when she wi[l load stock for Auckland leaving about 10 a.m. We ore given to understand that Captain Charles Helander, late of the s.s. Pretty Jane and. Southern Cross, who was well and favorably known among the shipping community of this port, is now in charge of the s.s. Oreti, Captain Alexander Campbell having proceeded to Dunedin to take command of the Star of the South. While wishing Captain Campbell every success, we are also pleased to welcome back our old friend Captain Helander.
