The s.s. Rosina had not arrived back from the Big River up to the time of our going to press. Mr Gibbons the agent proceeded with the steamer and has not returned. Mr H. W. Luke advertises that as he has purchased the Newcastle coal which was landed from the schooner Waiwera, he is now prepared to dispose of it in quantities to suit all classes of customers, at the lowest price. In fact he defies competition. Mr T. Pratt, a laborer employed on Gra ham, Pitt, and Bennett’s new building at the corner of Gladstone Road and Custom House Street, fell off the roof of the buildine yesterday afternoon.
