CORRESPONDENCE.

[We do not hold ourselves responsible for the opinions expressed by our correspondents]. - :o: TO THE EDITOR. Sir,—ln your report of the Horticultural Society there are four names mentioned as owing £1 la each. Permit me to correct that statement. The balance-sheet from which you took your report was audited directly after the Show last December, and those amounts have since been paid. It was an oversight on my part not to have expunged the items, and 1 would apologise to those gentlemen mentioned. —Yours truly, W. L. File. [We also apologise with Mr File. The balance-sheet was published as handed to our reporter, and we regret that the names should have been mentioned.— £d. P. 8.8.
