RESIDENT MAGISTRATE’S COURT.—GISBORNE.
This Day. [Before M. Price, Esq., R.M.] Police v. R. Judson. The defendant was charged with being drunk, and pleaded guilty. He was fined 5s and costs, or, in default of payment, 24 hours’ imprisonment. H. G. Gray v. Dwyer. Claim £2B. Mr Nolan appeared for the plaintiff, and Mr Brassey for the defendant. His Worship stated that, on account of the non-appearance of the plaintiff, the case should be struck out with costs, £2 4s. Muldoon v. Scrimoeour. This case was adjoumod at the request of both parties. Nicholas and Co. v. Rautexe Kiwi. Claim £ll 3s lid. Mr Nolan appeared for the plaintiff. After hearing the evidence His Worship gave judgment for the plaintiff for &101 Sb sa, Nicholas and Co. v. Noatene, Claim £l3 10s 6d. Mr Nolan appeared for the plaintiff. The defendant admitted being indebted £ll, but disputed the other amounts. After hearing both parties, judgment was given for the plaintiff, with costs. Hatten and Co. v. R. Austin. Claim £4 19s 7d, for meat supplied. There was no appearance of the defendant, and His Worship found for the plaintiff, with costs, Kennedy and Bennett v. S, Eg ens. Mr Kenny for the plaintiffs, On account of the defendant being sick the caso was adjourned for one month, till the 3d of October. Nicholas and Co. v, Maria Harua.
Claim £5 0s 6d, Judgment for plaintiff for £4 13s 9d.
