Noko, at the time of our going to psQss, is eugaged in lightering the barquentine Energy, and the cutter Whau the schooner Gisborne. The schooner Minnie Hare, CapL Nicolas, aarived in Auckland from Gisborne and the East Coast, on Monday, 21st August, with 99 bags barley and 40 pigs. The schooner Gisborne, Captain Skinner, was compelled last night to run under Nick’s Head for shelter. By our advertising columns it will seen that she is announced, weather permitting, to sail on Saturday for Auckland, calling at the ports along the East Coast. Messrs Common, Shelton and Co., are the agents. Owing jo the insufficient lightering accommodation, and in order to carry out her time table, the s.s. Oreti had to carry on the Gisborne portion of her cargo. She left for Napier st 9.30 a.m. yesterday, and leaves that port this afternoon, arriving here at daylight tomorrow morning, when she will land the Gisborne cargo and load stock for Auckland.
