CORRESPONDENCE.
[We do not hold ourselves rcs]x)iisiblc for the opinions ’ expressed by our correspondents]. GISBORNE SCHOOL CONCERT. TO THE EDITOR. •Sir,—l understood that the entertainment to be given on Thursday next was done so by children attending the Government school. As such the audience would be able to judge of the progress, efficiency and intelligence of the children receiving State education. I am i sorry, and I am not singular in my regret, to note the programme is not confined exclu- ] sively to the children referred to, but that * other children who never attended the school have been set down to take part. I hope I this will be amended before Thursday evening as there will no doubt be many opportunities for others to display their abilities in public. By all means let the Gisborne School Concert be such in reality.—Yours, etc., Old Boy. 1
