MAIL NOTICES.
Chief Post Office, Gisborne. Mails Close— For Auckland and Sydney, per Rotoma* hana, on Saturday, 19th Aug., at 7 pan. For the United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, Asia, Africa, America, the West Indies ria San Francisco, also, the Sandwich Islands, on Friday, Bth Sept., at 2.30 p.m. Money orders may be obtained, and letters registered until 2 p.m., same day. A steamer of the Peninsular and Oriental line leaves Melbourne on the 12th Sept. Correspondence specially so addressed and prepaid the Brindisi rates of postage, viz., eightpence per half-ounce, will be forwarded by every opportunity. The next inward San Francisco Mail is due Gisborne, on Friday, 25th August, J. SH RIMPTOX, Chief Postmaster.
