Chief Post Office, Gisborne. Mails Close— / t For Napier, Wellington, and South, also the Australian Colonies, per "Rotorua, on Friday, 18th August, at 3 p.m. For Auckland and Sydney, per Rotomahana, on Saturday, 19th Aug., at 7 p.m. For the United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, Asia, Africa, America, the West Indies via San Francisco, also, the Sandwich Islands, on Friday, Bth Sept., at 2.30 p.m. Money orders may be obtained, and letters registered until 2 p.m., same day. A steamer of the Peninsular and Oriental line leaves Melbourne on the 12th-Sept. Correspondence specially so addressed and prepaid the Brindisi rates of postage, viz., eightpence per half-ounce, will be forwarded by •very opportunity. The next inward San Francisco Mail is due at Gisborne, on Friday, 25th August. J. Shrimpton, Chief Postmaster.
