[Reuter's Telegrams.] MELBOURNE. This day. The necessary repairs to the steamer Te Anau having been completed she will leave Melbourne to-morrow for the Bluff. Information is to hand that a robbery has been committed at tho branch of the Cploninl Bank of Australasia at Reedy Creek, bqt no particulars are yet to hand. Arrived: Orient steamship "John Elder,” last evening, from Plymouth (July 17).
SYDNEY. This day. Arrived : H.M.S. Nelson. A Sydney “ Lloyds ” (Underwriters’ Association) has been formed here. The local businesses of Goldsborough and Co., Leffning end Co., and Rowan and Co., are being formed into companies. Arrived, last evening, Union Co.’s Steamship Ringarooma, from Auckland.
News has reached herp thqt the labor schooner Joe (sic) has become a total wreck on Marion Reefs, Island. AU on board saved. A destructive fire occurred this morning at Borthmipk's ail shop, 281, George-street. The place was completely gutted, but the fire was prevented from spreading to adjoining premises. The insurances amount to £3,600.
