SERIOUS KICKING AFFRAY.
The Manchester stipendiary magistrate had a serious kicking assault before him on lately William Henry, of disreputable appearance, and described as a labourer, was charged with an assault upon William Henry Knox, a poor fellow of weak intellect, and William Ridgway. Both men were unable to stand in consequence of the injuries inflicted upon them. The prisoner met the two men on a Sunday morning, a week or two ago, in a low street in Ancoats, and, without a word of provocation, he commenced to attack Knox, whom he knocked down with n blow, and while down ha kicked him and broke his leg. Ridgway interfered, and prisoner knocked him down, and kickea hint on the leg, breaking his leg also. 4 police-constable camo up and arrested the prisoner, but while the officer was off his guard the fellow kicked him violently, and rendered him unfit fop duty, He was, however, eventually locked up, and was now coiptnitted fqy trial at the Sessions,
