The stakes for the Spring Meeting include £1025 of added money, an increase of £5OO on previous lists, and for the Autumn Meeting £3035, an increase of about £lOOO. Neilson and Wilkin, sentenced to a months imprisonment for breach of Trade Marks Act, have to-day been released from gaol. AUCKLAND.

The erection of a railway bridge at Hamilton, on the Waikato, is causing some anxiety. One cylinder has been sunk 80ft. lOin, below the bed of the rivor, and there are no indications of hard bottom yet met with.
