[Reuter’s Telegrams.] SYDNEY. July 30. Arrived, last night at mid-night, steamship City of New York, from Auckland. She had a very heavy passage across. The annual University Commemoration was held last night in the presence of a large and brilliant assembly. The proceedings were unusually attractive, tho organ which has been erected nt tho University Hall, was played for the first time ou the occasion.
ADELAIDE. July 29. A company has been formed here with a capital of £750,000 to purchase the businesses of Hart and Co., Duffield and Co., Cowan and Co., and Morgan, Connor, and Glyde. The concern will be styled the Adelaide Milling and Mercantile Company, the whole of the capital has been subscribed.
