Chief Post Office, Gisborne. Mails Close— For Auckland, per Arawata, on Saturday, 29th July, at 7 p.m. For the United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, Asia, Africa, America, the West Indies via San Francisco, also, the Sandwich Islands, on Saturday, 11th Aug., at 2.30 p.m. Money orders may be obtained, and letters registered until 2 p.m., same day. A steamer of the Peninsular and Oriental line leaves Melbourne on the loth Augt. Correspondence specially so addressed and prepaid the Brindisi rates of postage, viz., eightpence per half-ounce, will be forwarded by every opportunity. For Makaraka, Waerenga-a-hika & Ormond, •very Tuesday and Saturday, at 2 p.m. For Tologa Bay every Tuesday, at 3 p.m. For Te Mawhai, Aku Aku, Tuparoa, and Awanui, every alternate Tuesday, at 3 p.m. Money orders should be obtained and letters registered one hour before the time of closing any mail.
