A MONGST the many general and special -£jL improvements which will be referred to in connection with the Plates showing the different varieties of the WERTHEIM Machines, we may here draw attention to our—- “ PATENT LOOSE WINDING WHEEL.” In almost all other Machines the Spool or Bobbin cannot be filled without running the Machine at the same time. This not only entails the removal of the work during the process of winding, but also necessitates the unthreading of tho needle during the operation. Tho adaptation of the “ Patent Loose Winding Wheel ” completely Overcomes all these Objections. By the mere turn of a screw the Winding Wheel becomes disconnected, and, revolving alone, allows tho operator to fill the Bobbin while the Machine itself remains at rest. This improvement lessens the wear and tear of the Machine, facilitates its working, and so saves the time, money, and temper of tho public.
