Mr Edwin Booth says that his subscription of a thousand dollars to the actors’ fund is only an earnest of his intention in the future. Mr Mackay, the American millionaire, has arranged to build an hotel in London somewhat on the scale of the Palace Hotel in San Francisco; which il equal in size to about forty of our biggest hotels. Thero will be sixteen hundred suites of rooms, and the cost of the undertaking will be two millions.
