HOSPITAL MEETING.
A meeting of subscribers to tho Hospital funds was held last night in tho Public School Room. The Ven. Archdeacon Williams occupied the chair. A most satisfactory report was read, and the meeting proceeded to elect a committee for the coining financial year. Dr. Pollen was requested to continue his gratuitous and kindly services, which he at once elected to do. After the meeting had closed Dr. Leggatt made a most kindly offer to share gratuitously the services of Dr. Pollen, thus relieving that gentleman of a share of tho duties which are wil»
lingly given, but which must necessarily . trespass upon his time and purse. u We quite think that the funds of the Hospital might be augmented by judicious manipulation. Anyone who gives a shilling to the funds, should be entitled equally to a vote with a subscriber of £l. The cause of suffering humanity deserves more appreciation at our hands than it gets. We give the names of the Committee for the ensuing year as elected : —Messrs E. K. Brown, Captain Chrisp, Archdeacon Williams, Rev. J. McAra, McKay, Butt, Davis.
