The following cablegram has been received by Mr R. Hill Fisher, the local agent for the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company (Limited), under date 26th instant: — “ Wool—Market unchanged. Coarse greasy cross-bred market easier; Home and German demand good, but demand from other quarters poor. Up to date 243,000 bales have been sold. The sale programme has been curtailed by four days. Tallow—Market firm. Mutton is worth 44s per cwt.; beef is worth 42s 6d.
