Professor Swallow’s proceeds from concerts have been retained by Mr. J. M. Lennox. A creditors’ meeting is to be held shortly to decide as to the disposal of the proceeds. The Professor is sadly disheartened at this result. The 11. B. Herald says: —The carcases of no fewer than 75 sheep 3 heifers, and 4 pigs were picked up by the municipal authorities on the beach within the boundaries of the borough, They were buried by the sanitary authorities. Some had their skins on. but the majority had been skinned.
