PORT OF POVERTY BAY. The Union Company’s Ringarooma, Csptian EJie, will arrive to-ruorrow, from Auckland. The eutter Whau which was driven ashore on Sunday ast, was got off yesterday, and is now inside the river, perfectly sound. The Union Company’s Rotomahana, Capt. Underwood, may be expected on Sunday next, from Melbourne via southern pores. The Union Company's Te Anau had a very rough passage down from this port, aud did toot arrive in Wellington till 8 o’clock on Monday night. The movements of the Oreti are at present uncertain, but as soon as the weather moderates she may be expected to put in an appearance here. The s.s. Rosina, Captain Harris, is lying alongside the wharf weatherbound. Her stern post which was damaged has been temporarily mended, and she is prepared to leave for the Coast as soon as the weather permits. The Union Company’s Southern Cross arrived in the Bay on Tuesday last, from Dunedin via intermediate ports; but owing to the heavy sea running she was unable to land her passengers and carge, and was signalled to proceed to Auckland. Her mails, passengers, and cargo will probably arrive here by the Eingarooma to-morrow. The barque Fainenoth, of Aberdeen, 900 tons burden, Captain Hauld, bound from London to. New Zealand, stranded on the Pan Sand, near the Tongue Lightship, on March 26th. There were 19 passengers on board including several women and children. The boats were put off, and the passengers were taken to the Venlia. One of the boats, in charge of the second officer, drifted out to sea and has since been picked up minus the occupants, who were a Gravesend pilot, the second and third officers, and two seamen. Late in the afternoon Captain Hauld was obliged to order the men to leave the ship, the water in her then being waiet-deep. They were taken off by two tugs, and almost immediately the Famenoth sank.
