Messrs. CARLAW SMITH & Co., Report a very fair attendance at their weekly horse sale on Saturday last; and the prices brought were very satisfactory. The following cablegram has been received by the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agencv Company, from London, under date 3rd instant:—“ Lists closed; 357,000 bales. 36,000 bales sent to the manufacturing districts direct.
