GRIT! GRIT!! GRIT!!!
The largely increasing demand on our space renders it a matter of necessity that wo should add reading matter to our journal for the amusement and, we hope, instruction, of our numerous supporters. As some slight means to this end we propose to publish with our issue of each Saturday a supplement containing much amusing matter. We here introduce to our readers a novel written by Donald Cameron (the well known author of “ Silver Water Bend,” “In the Folds of the Serpent,” and other tales), entitled “ Grit.” As a thoroughly Colonial yarn we hope and believe • that “Grit” will find that favor at the hands of the public to which we think it is entitled, and which induces us to present it to our readers. Our supplement will be found to contain matters of gossip which if they only serve to interest our readers without boring them, will gratify us much and achieve our desired end.
