The Harbor Master figures conspicuously in the Herald of the 4th inst., assuring the public that four years after discovery he has buoyed a rock. We have not the least hesitation in saying that such energetic despatch in the execution of duty is deserving of the highest praise. If a rock can be buoyed in four years, how long will it take to wreck a ship? Ra Macky says the statement made by the Harbor Master to the Herald, as quoted, is stupidly and misleadingly wrong.
