Messrs Large and Townley have engaged the services of Mr VVaterworth, who has just completed the Lawn Tennis Court, to lay down the paving in front of their business premises in what is termed “ tar pavement,” in contradistinction to asphalte. It seems a much more simple, and is certainly a less expensive process than asphaltings and, Mr Waterworth assures us. is in every way preferable to it. We should recommend it to the attention of business men who are tastv enough to prefer a neat looking substantial pavement, to the ragged looking walks prevalent here.
