We regret to hear that Mr Alexander, whose eyes were severely injured during the late volunteer proceedings by the discharge of a blank cartridge in his faee, is still in a precarious state. His eyesight is seriously endangered. •Capt. T. W. Porter, Land Agent, invites tenders from surveyors for the subdivision aud survey of the Huiarua Block. Tenders will be received up to 12 o’clock noon, en Tuesday, the 18th inst., at Capt. Porter's office, where all information may be obtained on application.
