CORRESPONDENCE.

[IFe do not hold ourselves responsible for opinions expressed bp our correspondents.] TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —With your kind permission I would like to say a word or two re dog tax collection up here in this Bay. There are between 50 and GO dogs, and only 6 registered. I am quite sure if the tax collector paid us a visit, and had a few of the dog owners up before the R.M., it would have the effect of collecting some money and be the means of putting a good number of useless curs that are a pest, out of the wav.—Yours, &e., Settler. Tokomaru, 12th April, 1882.
