Up to 6 p.m., on the 31st uIL, 60,047 shares in the Weh ng on-Manawatu Railway Company bad been applied for, being 47 above the number that can be issued. In order to keep faith with the public, the Directors will, however, keep the list open till the 17th instant, wlitn it w ill be finally closed. The shares will Xhzm be allotted in the usual manner.
