RESIDENT MAGISTRATE’S COURT, GISBORNE.
Thursday, March 30. [Before M. Price, Esq., R.M.] Thebe was only one case before the R.M. this morning, two young lads were charged—on remand—with stealing melons from the garden of one—Frederick Keating. Hie Worship administered a severe lecture to the two culprits, cautioning them against appearing before him in the future, and imposed the respective fines of £2 and £l, with costs of Court. Friday, 31st March. Nicholas and Co. v. Robjohns, Irvine and Co. —Mr Ward for plaintiff ; Mr Brassey for defendant. Verdict for plaintiff with costs. Rob.iohns, Irvine & Co. v. Nicholas and Co. —Mr Brassey for plaintiff; Mr Ward for defendant. Verdict for defendant with cost.
