Commercial.
The privileges of the ensuing race meeting of the Pakirikiri Jockey Club were sold by Messrs. Carlaw Smith and Co., on Saturday last. The following were the prices realized: —
At the sale of shares yesterday, Messrs. “Carlaw Smith and Co., report having sold 400 Southern Cross shares at 3s Id (the balance of the 1000 advertised having been withdrawn), and 500 South Pacific’s at 3s 9d. There was a large attendance.
Mr J. Bailey, in notifying that he has disposed of his interest in the Sir George Grey Hotel at Waarenga-a-hika to Mr George Human H, thanks hie customers very heartily for the liberal support accorded to him, and begs for a continuance of the same to his successor. He also begs that persons indebted to him will seek speedy settl-'oient in order to sa?iiitate his business on leaving.
