POUT OF POVERTY BAY. The schooner Columbia, Captain Nichols, arrived in the Bay on Tuesday last, 7th inst., with a general cargo from Napier. The Union Steamship Company’s Arrwata is expected to arrive from Auckland about noun to-morrow, and will leave for Melbourne via Southern Ports, the same evening. The Union Steamship Company’s Ringaruoina, will arrive from Melbourne via Southern Ports, on Sunday morning next, and will sail the same day for Auckland and Russell. The last boat leaves the wharf at 8 a.m. The s.s. Rosina, Captain Scott, is at present weatherbound. She would have steamed for the Coast on Tuesday evening last, as previously notified, but was detained by unfavorable weather. She is prepared to leave for the Coast as soon as the weather moderates. The s.s. Oreti, Captain Johnston, arrived from Auckland at an early hour yesterday morning, bringing a general cargo for this port. The following is her manifesto—l gun case, 2 cases gunpowder, 120 cases kerosene, 3 bags sand, 9 bales tow, 140 packages sundries, 3 ranis, and 1 buli. The Oreti left for Napier and Southern Ports immediately after discharging her cargo.
