Messrs. CARLAW SMITH and Co., Report a very satisfactory sale of horses was hel<l on Saturday List. About a dozen were yarded, several of which quitted at from £2 10s to £l2. At the monthly cattle sale at Waerenga ahika on Monday, 22 head were submitted for sale, sixteen of which were sold at fairly sa’isfactory prices, ranging from £3to £7. There was a fair attendance, but the auctioneers report that the demand for cattle is not very brisk, owing perhaps to the long spell of dry weather which has at last been broken through.
