Shipping Intelligence.
PORT OF POVERTY BAY. The schooner Gisborne, Captain Skinner, arrived in the Bay from Auckland via t e Coast, on Thursday last, and entered the river during the afternoon. She brings a cargo of timber and sundries. The schooner Columbia having discharged sufficient timber to admit of her entering the river, crossed the bar with Thursday afternoon's tide, and will complete discharging the remainder of her timber. The Union Steamship Company’s Te Anau. Captain Carey, is expected from Auckland about noon to-day, and will take her departme for Southern Ports and Melbourne about six o’clock this evening. Last boat leaves the wharf at 5 o’clock. The Union Steamship Company’s Arawata. Captain Sinclair, will arrive from Melbourne via Southern Ports, early to-morrow morning. She will sail for Auckland, Russell and Sydney shortly after arrival.
