'Messrs Carlaw Smith A Co. report, that at the sale of forfeited sb ar. *8 in the Southern Cross Petroleum Company, Limited, on Thursday last, only two lots if 50 shares each we.e submitted fur pale, the others having been redeemed. The first lot fetched 4s 6.1 per share, and the second lot 4s 73. There was a large attendance.
