[Fbom ora own ComussroNDßNis]. London, Jan. 27. Several heavy failures of members of the London Stock Exchange have occurred owing to the recent collapse on the Paris Bourse. January 28. Serious agrarian outrages continue rife in many parts of Ireland, and numerous arrests of offenders have been made in consequence. The bodies of the two bailiffs who have been missing since December last, have been discovered tied in sacks and sunk in Lough Mask, a lake in the west of Ireland. Paris, Jan. 27. The panic on the Bourse was owing to political crisis, and has subsided. The position of affairs is calmer, arrangements having been made by the speculators for the best attainable settlement under the circumstances. January 28. M De Freycinett has been summoned by President Grevy to form a new Ministry, and has accepted the task. Vienna, Jan. 28. Intelligence to hand from the seat or the rebellion in Dalmatia aud Herzegovina states that many Montenegrin chiefs with a large following are joining the insurgents. Melbourne, Jan. 28. The 3rd class passengers by the Garonne have now been released from quarantine.
January 29. The Russian Squadron arrived here to-day. Sydney, Jan. 30. Obituary — Patrick Higgins, well known as the contractor for the construction of the Zigzag Railway over the Blue Mountains. There is good reason to believe that the small pox epidemic has been stamped out. No case now exists in the city, and there is ouly one patient suffering from variola at the Sanatorium.
