:O: PORT OF POVERTY BAY. Arrivals.—January. 27.—Southern Cross, Captain Bumeck, from Napier and Southern Ports, with 15 tons cargo. No passengers. 27. —Oreti, s.s., Captain Campbell, from Napier. Passenger: Mr Goodson. 27. —Rotomahana, s.s., Capt. Underwood, from Auckland. Passengers : —Messi’s Gilmour, Houat, Davis, Gage, and Day, J udges Brookfield and Puckey, Master Harries. Departures.—January. 27.—Southern Cross, s.s., Captain Burneck, for Tologa Bay and Auckland. 27. —Oreti, e.s., Captain Campbell, for Napier. 27.—Rotomahana, s.s., Capt. Underwood, for Melbourne via Southern Ports. Passengers : —Miss White, Miss Morris, Mr and Mrs Westerby and child, Messrs A. J. Cameron, Feary, White, Jury, Terea, Constable Wilson and Sorry and Waka. The Rosina left lust Thursday evening for *Waitotara. The s.s. Oreti arrived from Napier early yesterday morning, and returned to the same port the same day, with 20 tons of cargo. The U.S.S. Co.’s Southern Cross arrived in port from Napier and Southern Ports yesterday morning, and sailed for Auckland via Tolago Bay, where she will ship 500 sheep from Mr Reeves’ station. The U.S.B. Co.’s Rotomahana arrived in port from Auckland about noon yesterday, with 15 tons of cargo. She steamed for Melbourne via Napier and Southern Ports the same evening, at 6 o’clock, with followcargo : —157 bales wool, 26 bags grass seed, 7 cases fruit, 1 dog-cart, 1 horse, 3 packages, 18 empty casks. The U.S.S. Co.’s Rotorua is expected to arrive early to-morrow morning, from Melbourne via Southern Ports, and will sail again •hortly after arrival for Auckland.
