ORMOND.
A meeting of the Ormond School Committee was held on Monday evening last, Mr Peter Barrie in the chair. The report of the Inspector stated that the school was in every respect satisfactory, and in point of efficiency stood equal with any in the Hawke’s Bay District. In proof of this the bonus allowed to teachers for the efficiency andprogress of their pupils w as granted to Mr Higgins, the teacher. The report was unanimously adopted by the meeting,and Messrs. Roe, W. H. Sceats F. Benson, Barrie, Murphy, F. Thompson, and Caulton were elected as the committee for the ensuing year. The proceedings terminated with a vote of thanks to the retiring committee.
