The consequence is that a large number of idle men are now to be seen congregated on the wharf daily. James Munro, M.L.A., who has resigned the secretaryship of that huge institution, the Victorian Permanent Building Society (Melbourne), owing to tho shareholders having objected to his continuing in political life, has issued the prospectus of the Bank of Australia (Limited) ; capital a million, in 200,000 £5-shares.
