Conditions for Horse Races. Three horses to start for each Race, or only half the money will be given. The Auckland Jockey Club Rules will be strictly adhered to, unless where otherwise specified. No entries shall be received except on these conditions : That all disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing, shall be decided by a majority of the Stewards, or those whom they may appoint, and their decision shall be final. Any Jockey riding except in colours entered or proper jockey costume, will be fined 20s. Any person entering a protest shall deposit the sum of £3 with the Stewards, and such protest proving frivolous, the amount shall be forfeited to the Race Fund. Entries for the Tradesmen’s Handicap and Handicap Hurdle Race will close at 8 p.m. sharp on SATURDAY, 3rd December next, at the Masonic Hotel Gisborne. Acceptances for Handicap Hurdles and the Tradesmen’s Handicap, enclosing colors, night of General Entry, Masonic Hotel Gisborne, SATURDAY, 24th December next, at 8 p.m. sharp. All sweeps to be paid on night of General Entry. Conditions for Foot Entries for the 150 yards, 100 yards, 1-mile and i-inile handicaps will close on night of General Entry, December 24th, at 8 o’clock at the Masonic Hotel Gisborne. Entries for other events to close on the ground with the Secretary. Three entries for each race, or only half the prize money will be given. The decision of Judge and Referee to bo final in every instance, THE J BATTERY BAND WILL BE IN ATTENDANCE ALL DAY.
