[From our own Correspondents]. London, Oct. 18. Dillon, M.P. for Tipperary was released from custody to-day. Hifferman, another prominent agitator, also recently released, has been re-arrested. O’Brien, editor of the United Ireland, organ of the land league, was also arrested. A telegram received to-day, from America,-Btates that the Irish agitators in that country are maddened at the action of Irish Executive? The storm which raged yesterday on the English coast destroyed 50 boats, and caused the death of fully two hundred Northumberland fishermed. Oct. 20. * » now transpires that the statement remade that the head quarters of the League had been removed from Dublin to Liverpool was quite premature. No change has yet been made in the seat of operations of the League. The Archbishop of Cashel, County of Tipperary, Ireland, has written a letter in which he condemns in strong terms the League’s recent manifesto, urging tenants to refuse to pay their rents. The Irish Land Commision appointed under the provisions of the Land Act have commenced their sittings ; over 400 cases are down for decision by Commission. Washington, October 19. The eentenary of York town, in Virginia, was celebrated to-day with great rejoicing, by order of President Arthur. The British flag was saluted as a token of friendship between England and America, and a mark of respect to Her Majesty.
